Aureol Lighting Australia supplies lighting fixtures for art galleries, museums, retail display and hospitality.

Aureol Lighting was formed as part of Selecon New Zealand (theatre lighting manufacturer) in the late 90’s and developed the Aureol BeamSpot/Shaper that became synonymous with museum and gallery lighting worldwide.

Now as part of Philips Lighting, Selecon has gone on to be a leader in this field.

Drawing on core competencies in optical systems and product design, Selecon has developed product for the “new” age of LED lighting.

The range has some clever fixtures, the Accent BeamSpot and Shaper, Fresco LED Flood, Wing LED Wash and SDP (Selecon Display Profile) “Big Shaper” offer unique light control features and high performance with LED, halogen and discharge lamps.

LED is the future of light and Aureol Lighting Australia is working with SORAA to provide the best retrofit LED lamps for specialist display applications. The MR16 lamps work brilliantly with the original Aureol BeamShaper to save energy and improve performance. Also is an option in the AccentShaper.

Aureol Lighting Australia has supplied fixtures to virtually all of the main museums and galleries around Australia: Federation Square (Melbourne), NGV (Melbourne), National Museum (Canberra), Art Galley of NSW (Sydney), Sydney Maritime Museum, State Library of NSW (Sydney), State Library of Victoria and many other government and private users.
